Wow, your life is like soooooo cool!

So, clearly, it's taking me a long time to get into the swing of really writing here with any *ahem* regularity. Or at all.

It's not that I haven't thought of a post every day...I just haven't put fingers to keyboard. I have done the same with pen and ink journals; I've bought countless beautiful notebooks whose colorful covers are adorned with beads, or words of motivation (I was 10 at the time, cut me some slack on that one), or silky cloth, or some combo of those and other wonderful, supposedly inspirational wrappings. Sometimes I write, sometimes I don't. But like I said, even when I don't, I am composing in my head. And that's ever so convenient to look back upon years laters. But it is fun to open up one of my tattered old journals and skidoo (Blues Clues anyone?) into my past.

In the spirit of Cringe, here is an excerpt from an average diary entry, from my freshman year of high school:

Dear Diary,

I know he likes me, today in the hall he winked at me as he walked past. I was dressed as Princess Leia, and he was Darth Vadar. How amazing is that?!?!?!?!?!? I mean, he is a senior and I AM A FRESHMAN!

I don't want to brag, Diary. I hate to sound conceited, but I know I am pretty. I never used to believe it, but if I had any doubt, today erased it.

Because you know what he did next? He pinched my butt! I turned around, he turned around, our eyes met for a second, and then he turned away. I hope he didn't see me blushing.

Darth Vadar likes me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love,
me

So...that's what you're in for here at my blog, just the many years later, SAHM version.

Aren't you so excited?!?!?!

That was hilarious! Doesn't it truly make you cringe now? To think pinching your butt was a GOOD thing? Tee hee.

I need to pull out my diary too. I'm sure it would have many cringe worthy moments too.
