Andrew McCarthy. All growed up.

Earlier today, I joked to my husband that I didn't see how Andrew McCarthy could actually be taken seriously as a love interest in Lipstick Jungle. After all, he looks like this:

and this:

and, yes, this:

But as I caught up on DVR'd Lipstick Jungle shows (teehee, I just Freud-enly typed shoes) I slowly became entranced by the fact that HE HAS GROWN UP. And you know what else, he's one of those bastards who get better looking as they get older. Seriously, the older the better.

Then, to make matters worse, I found this. So, nice. He's actually a sweetie as well as being cute. Still. Again. Whatever.

Dang. I have a crush on Andrew McCarthy. Again. Still. Whatever.

  2. Dude. I seriously always thought he was gay. Thus, it prevented any crush on my behalf.

I have to say, though. He is much cuter than he used to be and that interview about his day on set was adorable.

  3. OK, I thought I have been here recently, but a few things have changed and I am a little disoriented...and dazzled...looks good.

Have been in love with Andrew since Pretty in Pink...and it is true, he just gets better and better...

  4. He did get better looking didn't he? But that has been a philosophy of mine. Us girls have to work harder and harder ever year to keep looking young and frush and vibrant......and guys just get better with age {excluding the pot belly}. My hubby is way better looking now than he was in high school. In fact, I told him it was a good thing we hadn't met back then because I would NEVER have dated him. How mean of me, huh? He's a hottie now!

  5. Are you in my head? I was totally going to post about this same thing! If this were the 80's and I were 14 again, I'd totally have Andrew McCarthy's Tiger Beat poster taped on my bedroom wall.

  6. OK, no fair. He has messy hair and lines on his face, yet he looks pretty durn good. I have messy hair and lines on my face and everyone thinks I'm seriously ill and worries about me. No fair I tell you.

    Great post BTW. :-)

Omg! Andrew McCarthy was always my fave! I watched my first Lipstick Jungle ep last week and didn't even see him on the screen - just heard the voice - and screamed out to the living room, 'Omg! It's Andrew McCarthy!' Sad that a woman in her 40s (me! Ok it's early 40s! Tee hee!) can still recognise him after all of these years!

I have seriously had a crush on him since the Beneker Gang and his EYES, oh gosh his EYES!
I could get lost in those eyes.
I am not teeny bopper either.
I would love to see those eyes in person.

I have every movie he has ever made.
I used to think I was the only one that thought this guy was gorgeous!
I now know that there a lots of us that think this!
    I love you Andrew!

But I'm only 15! I was so depressed seeing how old he is after watching Mannequin twice today.

I'm 36 and seriously, I loved Andrew M. since Pretty in Pink - my favorite movie when I was a freshman in high school. Sad I didn't propose marraige to him earlier, shucks. *grin*
